La nostra lunga notte

La nostra lunga notte (Our Long Night) is a large diptych designed and created especially for the large windows of the exhibition room in the ground floor of XNL. The drawings are made by the artist with her eyes closed, imagining the bodies of animals she has worked with in her films as they draw close, merge and turn into a sign. The body and outline crumble, the drawing melts into transparency and is backlit by an acid green LED light. Adapting itself in a site-specific manner to the exhibition space, La nostra lunga notte (Our Long Night) is illuminated by the same kind of light as military night-vision goggles.
